This decadently delicious shrimp scampi with herbs recipe is sure to be the hit of the summer! With the best ingredients and the easiest steps this is definitely our new go-to shrimp dish, because who doesn’t love a good shrimp?

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup white wine (or chicken broth)

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

kosher salt

freshly ground black pepper

3 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

zest of 1 lemon

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan

8 ounces cooked linguine OR 1 loaf crusty bread

  1. Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and sauce until fragrant, about 1 minute.  Add wine, red pepper flakes, salt, and plenty of black pepper and bring to a simmer. Let wine reduce by half, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add shrimp and sauce until they just turn pink, 2-4 minutes depending on size. Stir in parsley, lemon juice and lemon zest. Top with Parmesan. If serving with linguine, add cooked pasta and toss to coat. If serving with bread, grab your load and start dipping.
